Volunteer

You want to volunteer at Access Sacramento? Wow, great!

You can help us with our mission in the following ways:

• Be one of our front desk greeters. Direct phone calls and do small front office administrative projects.
• Volunteer at our Fundraisers, and during Big Day Of Giving
• Produce social media content with our marketing manager, to communicate our mission of inclusion, equity, & FUN!
• Create community bulletin board (CBBs) tiles using Microsoft Powerpoint or Adobe Photoshop. The CBBs air between shows on local cable channels 17 and 18.
• Crew our promotional tent at community events.

We have leadership roles!

• Join our active board whose goal is to sustain our community-empowering mission though fundraising activities and outreach.  Be an “Executive Producer” for Access Sacramento’s channels!

Got skills?? Show them off!

• Organize events with us.
• Edit TV shows. Edit remotely if you have your own computer & software, or you use our digital media lab Macs equipped with the Adobe CC Suite, and Final Cut Pro, and more.
• If you have your own video gear and want to practice shooting, volunteer to shoot community events. (Members are covered under our liability insurance plan.)
• If you have taken our field production class and are a current member, you can volunteer to shoot community events using our equipment.
• If you have taken our TV studio production class and are a current member, volunteer to crew any of our in-studio shows.
• If you have taken our TV studio and HD truck production classes and are a current member, volunteer to crew a “Hometown” community event shoot with the mobile TV studio truck crew.
