A Place Called Sacramento is our Year-round Short Film Incubator Program.

This Non-Profit (501c3) program, takes any person from script-to-screen with a methodical, phased, system geared for success.  This year we celebrate our jubilee 25th year of this successful media arts education program. We are ready to celebrate!

1. Take our Screen Writing class.
2. Submit your 10-minute screenplay (ten formatted pages or less) to the Script Competition.  2025 script competition submissions are now accepted through midnight, Monday, March 10, 2025.

Script Contest Winners go on to the next steps:

1. Take our Short Film Production classes.
2. Attend the Volunteer Cast & Crew Call, May 3rd, 3 – 6 pm.
3. Shoot and edit your film over the summer with volunteer cast and crew’s help.
4. World premiere your film at the historic Crest Theater with red carpet fanfare, Saturday, October 11th, 7 pm.
5. Use awards won through this process and at the World Premiere to springboard your career.
