This year we launched the Shane Carpenter Legacy Fund, creating scholarships for the under-served in Sacramento County to learn about Radio Broadcasting. Donations to Shane’s Legacy Fund will also provide equipment to those who need it, so every voice in Sacramento County has an equitable opportunity to be heard.

The Longhair Detectorists Guild
The Longhair Detectorists Guild consider themselves the more sophisticated branch of The League of Musical Detectorists (Wed 2-4 PM on KUBU 96.5 FM). This music programme is hosted by William Henri Briggs-Loam Fuller III, [Bachelor of Musical Arts, Ding Dong School; Doctorate of Musical Savagery, Doc Savage University)]. Beginning with classical music, it eventually runs the gamut from traditional to avant garde to rock and beyond.

The Smiles Show
Jimmy’s show features music with a specific theme each week. One week, the theme might feature songs that peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100, the next week it might be songs with a color in the title, or songs featuring artists and groups that start with a certain letter of the alphabet. Jimmy enjoys looking for new and elusive themes.

Sacramento Italian Style
Features a wide variety of Italian and Italian-American music from many eras and genres. Phyllis Cupparo’s show also features events and info about the Sacramento Italian Cultural Society, this fun show’s local sponsor.
